<p>After the Char Dham doors close for winter, the worship of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri shrines is moved to their respective winter seat locations. The Gangotri idol is worshipped at Mukhba, the Yamunotri deity is worshipped at Kharsali, Badrinath Dham is worshipped at Pandukeshwar, and Baba Kedar is worshipped at the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath.<br>Up to this point, the winter Char Dham Yatra has witnessed a modest turnout. In the first two weeks, a total of 4,436 pilgrims visited the shrines. Ukhimath saw the highest number of visitors, with 3,198 pilgrims, followed by Mukhba with 699, Pandukeshwar with 277, and Kharsali with 262. A total of 427 vehicles transported pilgrims to these sites.<br><br>Stakeholders have highlighted the need for better infrastructure and increased publicity to attract more pilgrims for the winter yatra. Due to weather-related challenges, road repairs and widening are major concerns. <br>Suresh Semwal, Secretary of the Gangotri Temple Committee, pointed out that fewer pilgrims visit the temples during the winter months. He emphasized the importance of improving roads and infrastructure to make the winter pilgrimage more accessible and attractive. Meanwhile, Ajendra Ajay, Chairman of the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, spoke about the unique and memorable experience the winter pilgrimage offers to devotees. He also mentioned that they are working with stakeholders to gather ideas and feedback on how to enhance the infrastructure.</p>
