Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Kedarnath Temple is one of India's oldest and most holy temples. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are very important in the spiritual realm. It is 3,583 meters high. The temple's creation is truly unique. Huge, heavy grey stone slabs, enduring hundreds of years of bad weather and natural disasters, form its foundation. People think that the Pandavas built the temple first and that Adi Shankaracharya brought it back to life in the 8th century. There is a Shivling inside the sanctuary that looks like a pyramid. People who worship it perceive it as a physical form of holy energy. At the entryway, there is a statue of Nandi, Lord Shiva's car. The pillars that have been carved so wonderfully make the space feel more spiritual. The temple is only open for six months, and inclement weather makes it challenging to go there. You may get there by helicopter or on foot from Gaurikund. The location is now home to dharamshalas, medical centres, and safety services, thanks to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. Kedarnath Main Temple

Different Temples Near Kedarnath
Bhairavnath Temple: People think that Bhairav Baba keeps Kedarnath safe in the winter; thus, they built this temple for him. It's about a km up the hill. People go to the shrine to pray and acquire good things. They can see the whole valley and shrine from up there.
Shankaracharya Samadhi: Adi Shankaracharya buried himself here, directly behind the Kedarnath Temple. It is a peaceful place with a lot of historical significance, making it an excellent place to think about and honour Hindu philosophy.
Gaurikund Temple: This shrine, which is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, lies near the start of the tour. People who go on pilgrimage wash themselves in its hot springs and pray that their journey to Kedarnath will be safe.
Triyuginarayan Temple: People think that Lord Shiva and Parvati got married in heaven at this old temple. There is still an eternal flame in the courtyard. It stands for a sacred marriage and vows made in front of the gods.
