This initiative is designed to make the pilgrimage more accessible and attractive for visitors.<br><br><strong>Accommodations at GMVN Hotels</strong><br><br>Pilgrims visiting the winter residences of the Char Dhams—Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri—will benefit from a 25 percent discount on their stay at GMVN hotels. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of developing key locations around these pilgrimage sites, including areas like Panch Badri and Panch Kedar.<br><br>Every year, the Char Dhams close their gates in October-November, and the deities are moved to their winter residences. The idol of Goddess Ganga is taken to Mukhba from the Gangotri temple, Goddess Yamuna to Kharsali from the Yamunotri temple, Lord Kedarnath to Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath, and Lord Badrinath to Narsingh temple in Joshimath.<br><br><strong>Upgrading Pilgrim Facilities</strong><br><br>Chief Minister Dhami inaugurated this year’s winter Char Dham pilgrimage from Omkareshwar temple on Sunday. The state government is dedicated to enhancing facilities for pilgrims to make their journey more comfortable and affordable. Measures are being taken to improve the overall experience for those setting out on this spiritual path.</p>
