Offline Registrations for Rural Pilgrims To Join Chardham Yatra 2025
To assist rural pilgrims in their joining process for the Chardham Yatra 2025, the officials decided to register 40% of pilgrims’ offline. Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey announced this after a meeting with the yatra management committee. This decision was made to facilitate pilgrims who find online registration difficult, such as those from rural areas.

Preserving Traditional Temple Visit Sequence
The officials are taking steps to follow the traditional temple visit order during the yatra. The order of the Chardham Yatra is sacred, which is why the assigned slots will be dispensed in this order: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. This will preserve the quick passage of yatra pilgrims. Last year, many faced problems because the sequence was not strictly maintained, which created confusion and logistical challenges.

Better Infrastructure and Security Measures
In order for the Chardham Yatra to have a carefree journey, the Public Works Department has been instructed to complete all road repairs for that sanctuary project by April 15. Security is being ramped up with the introduction of the Cheetah Police or Hill Patrolling Unit every ten kilometers along the track. These arrangements were confirmed by Inspector General of Police for Garhwal Division Mr. Rajiv Swaroop during the meeting. Apart from this, around 2000 buses have been arranged for the yatra and in case more buses are needed, then Kumaon Division will be pulled in. This is all being done to ensure that the yatra will be much safer and comfortable for the pilgrims.
