On December 8, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the winter Char Dham pilgrimage, signifying the start of a year-round pilgrimage in Uttarakhand. The announcement took place at Kedarnath Baba’s winter residence in Ukhimath. This highly anticipated pilgrimage is expected to draw more visitors and provide a significant boost to the local economy.<br><br>&nbsp</p><p><strong>Barfani Baba’s Annual Appearance</strong></p><p><br>In Uttarakhand, a Shivling is located inside a cave on a hill at Timmarasan, about one kilometer before Neeti village on the Joshimath-Neeti Highway. This Shivling is continually anointed by water dripping from the hill, and each year, an ice Shivling forms here, similar to the one in the Amarnath cave. Known locally as Barfani Baba, this ice Shivling stands between two and a half to three feet tall. From December to April, Lord Bholenath shows up as Barfani Baba at this site. This year, with the cold intensifying, Barfani Baba has appeared once again, attracting devotees for darshan.</p><p><br><strong>Economic Boost</strong><br><br>The winter Char Dham pilgrimage is set to draw visitors to Uttarakhand year-round, boosting the local economy.
